The desire was to create a white, modern box with elements engaging with and protruding from it. Along those lines, an upper floor terrace was enclosed and a narrow stair was opened up and headroom created, along with an addition to the upper roofline allowing for an existing attic space to be turned into a bedroom with proper head height. The black windows accentuate the clean white stucco and cementitious siding.
