Meet The Team

We are a client-oriented architecture and interior design firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area. We believe in the importance of the relationship between architecture and the immediate community and the world at large. Each of our projects is unique, and we formulate innovative solutions based on a process that involves close interaction with the client during all stages of design and construction. Our dedication to delivering exceptional results has earned us several industry awards.

We bring together disparate needs, goals and requirements from the client, consultants, the builder and the city to create solutions that make sense, are beautiful and are timeless

Nicole Hanks

Nicole Hanks began in residential architecture as an intern in high school, studied art history at UC Davis and architecture at IUAV (Venice, Italy). She has a Master of Architecture from Cornell University, where she attended ‘Cornell in Rome’ and participated in the ’06 Rotterdam Biennale.
She sees residential design as an individualized experience that is built out of a collaborative objective that balances vision and pragmatism. She is always looking to gain more with less impact, and finds that success can be found in the smallest details.

Our Process

Initial Interview and Site Visit.

The first step in our process is an interview in our office, followed by a tour of similar projects and a visit to your site. During this phase, we assess the site conditions and ensure that they align with your goals and desires.

01

Proposal and Contract

After the site assessment, we present you with a proposal for our services if we believe the fit is right. If you agree to the proposal, we work out a contract (see “fees and services”) and schedule a meeting to discuss your needs and how we can best serve you.

02

Design and Space Enhancement.

Once the contract is finalized, we ask you questions about how you use your spaces, such as what you do when you first wake up and whether you like to entertain. These questions help us design your spaces to enhance your day-to-day life. Based on your answers, we create a design that meets your specific needs and desires.

03

Execution and Management.

We oversee construction to ensure the project is on time, within budget, and meets your needs. We manage subcontractors and vendors, keep you updated on progress, and address any concerns.
