A burned out 2-unit building in the Mission District was rebuilt.

About The Project

Long before the fire gutted the building, it had been severely altered and stripped down. This rebuild restored the structure to its original splendor. The upper unit was expanded to include another floor of living space and terraces were added facing both east and west, helping to flood the unit with natural light.

“Phil has designed the last two homes I lived in. The first one I purchased directly from the contractor and loved Phil's design and sense of space. The second home he designed for me was a total build from the ground up of a 2 unit building in SF that was destroyed in a fire. I wanted to go in a different direction on this one and Phil came up with an amazing design. He is awesome to deal with and very straightforward. He made great suggestions some I listened to some I did not. To be honest most of the ones I didn't listen to I now regret. I didn't have the vision he had and wish I had been more open minded. I honestly cant say enough about the guy he is great.”
